Gui Boratto “Beautiful Life”

Absolutely carefree breeze-blown dancing-in-the-sunshine perfection.  I’ve ripped this Gui Boratto masterpiece off for at least two of my own inferior songs, and there’s really no reason to stop there.  Everything in this song has been done thousands of times before, but it works better than ever and kind of puts the rest of Chromophobia to shame.  Arpeggiator chugging, electronic backbeat snapping and thumping, Astrud Gilberto-inspired drowsily-effervescent vocals on the chorus and even a short bass guitar solo standing in for where a climax should be, this is Valentine’s Day in clubland.
